Born and raised in the midwest, Kiersten grew up surrounded by the wonderful sound of music,
listening to her dad play drums with various bands in and around St. Louis.

Musical seeds were planted when she began piano lessons at the age of six, and by the time she was ten she knew
she wanted to be a professional musician. Over the years she has performed in various venues,
has written and produced four independent albums in the Contemporary Christian and Jazz
genres, and hold Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Jazz Studies from Webster University. In
2020, she co-wrote “Your Love is Enough” which won Christian/Gospel Song of the Year at the
Josie Music Awards.

Kiersten joined the Institute for Modern Worship in 2024 with a strong desire to help worship
leaders press into the reason of why and how we worship and find creative new ways to
express our devotion to God. Over the course of 25+ years she has led worship in various
churches, conferences, and gatherings around the midwest and pulls from her experience in
many Christian denominations to create a culture of worship that speaks to seasoned and new
believers, young and old.

Kiersten and her husband, Bryan, currently reside in Ellisville, Missouri with their blended family
of five “kids.” Along with music, you’ll also find her in her large vegetable garden, or in her
kitchen cooking up the latest harvest, or reading, hiking, and rehabbing their 1950’s ranch
home.
